Probably one of the reasons is that we have one of the few board-certified civil trial lawyers in Northwest Broward County, and certainly the only one actively practicing who has been board-certified for probably 30 more years than the only other board-certified practicing trial lawyer in Broward County. Board certification for a lawyer is not like board certification for an orthopedic surgeon or neurologist. After three years of practicing medicine generally, 90% of neurologists and orthopedic surgeons are board-certified. Not so with board-certified civil trial lawyers. In fact, only about 1% of the trial lawyers in the state are board-certified.
