"Into the Night," a Fundraiser for Parkinson's Disease, Raises Over $7,500 for Research

When Attorney Dan Cytryn, founder of Law Offices Cytryn & Velazquez, met singer Benny Mardones years ago at a fundraiser to benefit Parkinson's research, he became inspired to help the cause. So inspired, in fact, that he and his wife Jill recently put together a fundraiser at their home in Coral Springs to raise money for Parkinson's research. The funds raised at the event benefited the Keck School of Medicine of the University of Southern California in their efforts to find a cure for Parkinson's.

Several years ago, Mr. Mardones was struck with Parkinson's. He is now dedicating his life to fighting this tragic disease and singing at charitable events to help find treatments and a cure for Parkinson's.

"There's a million people in the U.S. that have Parkinson's with me. Help us cross the finish line for a cure." - Benny Mardones

Borrowing the theme of the fundraiser from Benny Mardones's worldwide hit "Into the Night," the evening was filled with an eclectic mix of entertainment and food. Guests dined on sushi, gourmet roast beef sandwiches and made-to-order entree and dessert crepes throughout the night as they enjoyed the entertainment.

The event was kicked off with the crowd gathering in the living room of the Cytryn home to watch Mr. Mardones give an intimate performance of "Into the Night." Attendees sang along as Mr. Mardones performed this and other hits throughout the evening. Later on by the pool, local guitarist Nicholas Marks energized the crowd while performing his flamenco-style guitar act, followed by a colorful belly dancer.

Mr. Cytryn would like to thank everyone involved in the fundraiser for their hard work and support, with a special "thank you" to all the people who donated to this important and worthwhile cause. We appreciate your support!
